Air Quality
At Allied, we have broad expertise for a variety of emission sources to help you obtain greater operational flexibility while proactively addressing your regulatory obligations.
We work with facility owners and operators to obtain required air quality permits quickly so you can meet your construction or expansion schedules. We can also help streamline record keeping and monitoring requirements and can assist in securing carbon and/or renewable energy credits for eligible projects. Additionally, we can help you draft business plans, develop benefit/cost analyses, and secure funding.
Our projects typically include air dispersion modeling evaluations and rule applicability assessments to determine requirements under the Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) Standards; New Source Performance Standards (NSPS); and state air toxics regulations .

Environmental Permitting and Compliance
Industries are faced with an ongoing challenge of maintaining compliance with a wide variety of federal, state and local environmental regulations. New regulations are adopted and existing regulations are modified with minimal notification. Accordingly, the facility must devote valuable resources to meet agency requirements or face potential financial liabilities associated with noncompliance or violations.
Our environmental staff of engineers and scientists have completed numerous environmental audits for industrial facilities, which involves a detailed assessment of a facility’s permits, procedures, training, record keeping and reporting. Auditors review not only the completeness of the facility’s management systems, but also review the detailed records for compliance with the regulations.
We also specialize in environmental overviews, which is less detailed than the environmental audit. The overview focuses on management systems to determine if proper permits are held, records are kept and reports submitted. The auditor does not evaluate the completeness of records nor the accuracy of reports in an overview.
Stormwater Engineering
Today’s stormwater management projects are more complex than ever. There is need to balance a multitude of requirements including water quantity, water quality, recreational and aesthetic values and economic considerations. Our approach is to listen to our clients and design complete multi-objective stormwater solutions that fulfill all your requirements.
We are deeply familiar with NPDES Permit requirements, including the storm water program for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) and Best Management Practices (BMP) design. Additionally, our staff designs Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and performs construction inspection for environmental compliance.
